    Things I like

We didn't get out of work until after eleven o'clock tonight, so we started getting a little cranky/hilarious. To our guests we are ridiculously friendly, but by the end our conversations essentially came down to, "Oh, yeah? Well FUCK that lemonloaf," and, "Oh, you mean the motherFUCKING marshmallow squares? Are those the ones you're referring to? The shitty ones behind the thousand fucking boxes? Yeah, I've got those fuckers RIGHT HERE FOR YOU," and, "See you in EIGHT FUCKING HOURS."

Driving home it smelled like a warm Marco Island night.

    Disappear

I am in one of the best places of my life right now, so to maintain this, I am deleting anything and anyone that carries any ounce of negativity in it/his/herself. I'm a lot more important and have a lot more potential than I ever realized, and I'm going to run with that, because whatever I've been doing up until now has left me in the same situation again and again for nineteen years, and I will never get any of the things I want if I let myself be bossed around by a bad attitude. The fact of the matter is, I am a great person with a lot of good qualities, and being surrounded by people who, really, only perpetuate my sourpuss has never helped me. I have so much to say, and there's not a soul on this planet that I want to say it to except my therapist, because she may be the only person who has consistently made me feel like I can and will do anything I dream up.

I think the only way we have fun is when we focus on ourselves. I've always thought that was selfish of all of you, but I guess you just got it when I didn't. Good for you. But better for me, because I'll still feel alive at the end of the day, and I can't say as much for a lot of people.

    I feel really good.

    Homecoming

It's hot, it's sticky, and the power is out in McElroy. My side of the room is almost bare and the light bouncing off the wall from the alarm clock last night kept me awake for a while. I have one more test. I petted the College Road cat one last time today.

You can't know how beautiful this campus is, and how much I am going to miss it.
